Upper Assam being one of the most diverse regions in the world for flora & fauna, our tea estates play a key role in the conservation of the local eco system. Initiatives such as creating Biodiversity Spots within the plantations, in areas unsuitable for agriculture, help in the restoration of the depleting ecosystem. These Biodiversity Spots provide habitats for wildlife living on our estates, or for those that pass by them during migration. Hunting and capturing wild animals & birds are strictly prohibited in our estates and we have taken serious efforts into creating the required awareness among the tea communities to ensure that the environment is protected and the biodiversity secure.
